The Building

Our home at Calle Miguel Ángel 8 is one of Madrid's most remarkable educational buildings. Designed by Joaquín Saldaña and opened in 1910, it was conceived from the start as an American college in the heart of Chamberí.

Highlights include the classical façade, the grand staircase, the almost 300-seat auditorium — a stage for concerts and lectures for over a century — and the historic library.

The building is listed and protected, and can be visited during the Institute's public events or hired for events and filming.
